Junior Team Tennis (JTT) offers a a friendly, yet competitive, format for local young tennis players where the main focus is on teamwork and player development. The concept of team tennis emphasizes fun, competitive team play, team spirit, sportsmanship, and love of the game. USA Team Tennis is sponsored by the USTA and is becoming one of the fastest growing youth programs in the United States. Junior players at REAL TENNIS have the opportunity to play on a USTA Junior Team Tennis (JTT) through Middle States (Philadelphia Area) in the Spring.

Q. What is it?
A. It’s a coed team tennis league among area clubs that is designed for intermediate and advanced level players.

Q. What are the age groups?
A. REAL TENNIS fields 10 and Under, 12 and Under and 14 and Under intermediate teams. All divisions are co-ed and players have to opportunity to play singles, girls/boys doubles and mixed doubles.

Q. When and how long do the matches last?
A. Matches will run from April-June and take place on Saturday afternoons. Each team match takes up 2 courts for about 2 hours.

Q. How much does it cost?
A. Each player must play a league fee of $12. This covers the cost of league trophies, background checks and on-line administration. Each
player is required to be a USTA member ($20/year) to participate in JTT.
Players might also be required to pay team fees for balls and/or court time.

Q. What is the format?
A. The format is modified World Team Tennis. Each 12U and 14U match will consist of one set each of boys singles, girls singles, boys doubles, girls doubles, and two sets of mixed doubles. 10U is the same format except that they will play only one set of mixed doubles.
